Playing high-contact sports dramatically increases your chances of injuring your teeth. A serious bite injury on the tongue, a broken jaw, chipped or split tooth, an object stuck between your gums or a tooth falling out are all possible outcomes of such a trauma.
It is absolutely essential that you protect your teeth with a high quality, custom-fitted mouth guard. Mouth guards are created particularly for sports to help reduce the risk of dental injuries. They are also used by patients who suffer from bruxism; a teeth grinding disorder.
Schedule a consultation at ToothCare WeCare today and we can tailor a mouth guard that fits your mouth perfectly and suits the sport you play.
ToothCare WeCare Is Committed To Provide The Best Oral Health For Your Child.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule will provide access to benefits for basic dental services to around 3.4 million children aged 2-17 years.
The total benefit entitlement will be capped at $1,000 per child over a two calendar year period. The CDBS will have a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A (FTB-A) or a relevant Australian Government payment.
Services for basic dental treatment, such as check-ups, x-rays, fillings and extractions will be included in the CDBS. High end services, such as orthodontic treatment are not included. The total benefit entitlement will be capped at $1000 per child over a two year period, however eligibility will need to be determined.
From January 2014, eligible children or their parent will receive a letter to confirm eligibility.
Eligibility is determined each calendar year however funds are valid for two calendar years. A child is eligible if they are aged between 2-17 years, are eligible for Medicare and are either part of a family receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A or one of the following Australian Government payments:
